Great quality...
I'm giving it a 4 star because the issue is not with the harness and leash. This is a really well put together harness and leash set. Good stitching. Sturdy, strong velcro closures. strong leash.
But, It did not work for us, as our very clever, Houdini cat was out of it in about 25 seconds. She has learned from other differently designed harnesses that all she has to do is simply put her paw up in between the neck part and wormed her way out of it by stepping backwards.
Tried it on 3 times, as soon as it arrived. Each time a little tighter without choking her. Each time she was out of it faster than the last! I am glad we did not take her outside with it.
I got a medium for my cat based on measurements, that’s also the size of her other harness. The front straps are quite long for her, I’m using the ends of the Velcro when I put it on.
I was concerned that this wouldn’t hold up for the inevitable panic bolt, but she’s done it several times and it’s stopped her every time. Easy to put on without requiring her to put her head through a loop, the only down side is she can’t feel whatever she’s rolling around on with her back.
I bought this vest to be able to take my inside cat, outside, and to keep him safe. I have had two other harness. I can't express enough just how much easier this vest is with velco,to put on than the other types! I have only used it four times, and the fourth time,I ask Mittons,if he wanted to go outside,he walked up to his new vest! He has room for growthBb but the vest can still fit snuggly. I love the vest and so does Mittons!
I’ve owned several cats and have always trained them on a leash with a harness. Had a difficult time finding a harness that fit them well and looked comfortable, plus they couldn’t escape from. I’ve actually gone to the extent of having a shoe repair company make harnesses out of leather.
I ordered this black & white plaid solid harness, thinking this is quite different, but I’ll try it. Figured my cat would hate the solid piece of fabric covering him.
I went to put it on him, (he’s a large cat) and it’s got wide Velcro closures. Two. That’s it. One around the neck and one around the belly. So easy to put on and make it fit him snugly. No slipping over their head, or adjusting buckles. Takes 2 seconds to put on, and this is a first…..he waits and likes this harness! You can tell it must feel good and comfortable, as he doesn’t fight me when I put it on him or walk funny afterward.
Where has this been my whole life??

The first one we bought, the stitching broke the second my cat got spooked outside and pulled too hard, within a week or two of having it. I decided to give benefit of the doubt that maybe it was a stitching defect (it happens). They sent us a replacement immediately and so far has held up (been a lil over a month). We love the design and our baby boy goes on walks comfortably in it. Can adjust to their size. He's a decent sized cat (big boy) with no fluff and we got him a large. Fits perfect. If it holds up, then I'll be happy:)
Measuring correctly is important, as they run small. But it’s easy to get on and off. The color, pattern and leash all help keep tabs on your kitty. It’s strong enough that you can pull her out of bushes. You have to train your cat to get comfortable going outside and wearing it.

Darling harness but my RAGDOLL did what Ragdolls do & just collapsed on the floor & wouldn’t get up no matter what! To bad.
Not escape proof
My cat could still get out if I am not watching carefully. He does have to work at it. However, I used another brand that tightens has he pulls under this jacket, and it works. I think if it was not flexible on top where the leash connects then it would be even more difficult for the bugger to escape. LOL.
The harness looks well made. My cat doesn't mind wearing it. It works really well until the cat decides to go its own way. The harness only gives me 10 seconds before my cat is out of it.
I have a very furry Maine Coon and don't feel comfortable using the Velcro closure on her chest. I am now using a different style adjustable harness with plastic fasteners that's easier to put on and remove without worrying about hair getting trapped on the Velcro hooks.
I live on a busy street & don't have a catio set up yet. My cat was craving the outdoors. This was my solution.
The harness is sturdy & easy to put on the cat. He seemed okay with it from the get go.
My only problem, which might be solved with more practice, is that this fastens under the body with Velcro. My cat has long fur & I am having trouble seeing the closure ends. There was also a pulling issue when I took it off because fur got caught in the Velcro hook side. Not a huge deal but something to be aware of if your have a long haired cat.
This harness was great for the first 2 days I used it. My cat would try to pull his legs out, but couldn't, so I thought this harness was a win. HOWEVER, on the third day, my cat decided that he wanted to run away, and he did. He spun flips and whipped himself in the air until he got it off and sprinted down the road and ran under a house. So, WARNING, if your cat wants to be outside, he WILL find a way to take it off. I'm upset I ever started walking him outside and never wish I would have in the first place. Not so much speaking to this harness in particular, but maybe rethink buying any harness in general.
My kitty doesn’t like harnesses, but since he can’t be nice and get along with other animals, he must be walked on a harness. This harness is well made. The Velcro straps are thick and hold really well. This is the first harness that my cat will walk in. Usually he just lays down and I’m dragging him through the grass hoping he will use his legs. He actually gets excited when I pick this up and runs to the door ready to explore outside. We are still training, but this is the best harness I have ever used and kitty seems to like it best as well.
The product is well made.
