You should fit one flat finger between harness and your cat’s skin. Snug enough to prevent slipping out, loose enough for free movement and breathing.

This “freeze & flop” reaction is very common for first‑time harness wearers, it is not pain. Do short daily indoor practice sessions with treats, most cats adapt quickly.

We strongly advise against it. Dog harness are shaped for dog body structure and may create safety risk for cats. Please use dedicated cat harness.

Jasper is fat adjacent. Jasper is 17 pounds of (mostly muscle...ahem!) with a little bit of pudge because...snacks. I have never found a harness so easy to get him into (unsuspecting, of course) and out of in a jiffy. He hates all harnesses (even this one) and crouches in the corner or on the floor until I take it off. But one day, after putting it on him every day until he gets used to the feeling - he will trot around the neighborhood with this cool looking camo harness on and be the MAN!

It's a winner!! Fourth harness for this 20 pound maniac. Bought xl and it's great. Easy on and easy off. He tried to take off after a squirrel and the Velcro held!! If you have a long / large breed (Maine coon or Norwegian forest) not sure if xl will be big enough. Charlie is 17 inches neck to base of tail and 20 pounds but...short hair so this worked.

Fits ok for what I need it to do

I have a 13.6lb British shorthair. He’s got a long body and stubby legs. I’m going to be flying with him soon. I heard I would need to carry him through tsa so I got him this harness just in case he manages to squirm out of my arms. I think this XL fits him ok. The body part is velcro is attached half way. I can fit my whole hand underneath. The neck part Velcro is attached about an inch. He has a lot of neck fluff and chubby cheeks so it looks like it’s borderline too tight but I can comfortably fit four fingers underneath. I’m going to slowly get him used to the harness and tighten it a little over time. I would probably undo the neck part once we get on the plane so he could lay his head down easier.

Works great for my TRIPAWD

I’ve been searching for a harness that would work best for my three legged cat. This one has worked great for us so far. He is missing one of his front legs so the harness does twist on his body a bit but doesn’t seem to bother him when it does, and is easily readjusted when I notice it. He is unable to back himself out of this harness. He is on the larger side for cats at 16.5lbs, the XL fits perfectly, nice and snug but not too tight. Plus the camo looks adorable against his orange!!

Just what I needed

Nice and secure! The velcro straps are thicker than I was expecting, and they grip really well. The harness itself runs a bit small so you're better off ordering a little larger than you thought you might need. straight out of the packaging is a bit stiff, it will take some breaking in for the cat to truly be comfortable. But it does have enough flex and give that it does not impede movement even straight out of the package.

Fits my 8 lb cat perfectly. Easy to take on and off.

My cat had zero issues once I put this one and he usually moves very uncomfortably when shirts/cones, etc have been put on him. He seems to really actually like it and it chills him out thunder vest style.

Fit's well and easy to use

This product fits my cat well, it adjusts easily, and easy to use, the brace has a layer of cushion mesh and durable cottony feel fabric.

Great product

The one issue I have with this is that the only way I could keep this thing from slipping sideways on my cat was making it too tight. There was no issue in keeping the whole thing on, it stayed very secure in that sense, it's just the top of the harness where the leash clips to, kept sliding to the side of my cat, more of a visual issue I guess, but my cat wasn't bothered, just looked awkward. Overall no real functional problems at all

Sarg loves going for walks! This harness has opened a new world for him. I did have to buy a longer leash. The one provided is very short

Missing clips for closer

A little disappointed it is missing the clips. Just Velcro which is going to wear out sooner than later. Waiting to see if my Houdini cat can get out of it. We shall see

Unfortunately not escape proof.

My boy looked adorable and he absolutely hated it haha. His hate ultimately led to the escape. I’ve still been using but with caution

I ordered the XL, according to weight. It's too big, so I'll return and get a Large. This will be the fourth one of these I get. Great harness for my cat, easy to put on and difficult to escape from. They include instructions which if followed keep kitty from getting out of the harness until you take it off.
