Quality Harness: Can’t Wait to Use it Outside

I had to order this product twice. I ordered a medium about a month ago, but that got lost in the mail and never came. I had to order a large in the meantime because I'm on a timed schedule of trying to get her harness trained. I left a review about that and said I would update it later if I was ever able to purchase another medium.

When the medium was finally put back in stock, I ordered one and it came pretty quickly. I’ve spent the past two days making her wear the large and the medium trying to see which one fits better. The first three pictures are of her wearing the medium, and the last two are her wearing a large. In all five of the pictures, the harness is adjusted to where it fits the best on her. (I’m not sure why she continues to stand like her spine is broken, but I’m hoping the snugness of the medium helps her adjust more and she changes this.)

My cat is 5 years old and pretty petite for her age. She weighs about 8.3 pounds with a chest girth of 13 and a neck girth of 7-8. It sucks that she is literally in between sizes because the medium fits when the Velcro is loosened and the large fits when the Velcro is really tight. If I adjust the Velcro flaps on the medium (where the Velcro is not showing) it starts to choke her neck a little bit so that’s the one major thing I reallllyyy dislike. But the flaps around her chest fit perfectly. I did not like the look of the extra 3 inches of the Velcro flap hanging off of her chest on the large, so I decided on the medium and figured having to see black Velcro without the flaps hanging is better. (The reviews saying that cats who were 8 pounds fit well in a medium also helped to sway my decision.)

She also seemed to move a little bit better in the medium and her movements seemed less restricted. I’m chalking this up to the fact that the medium fits more snug and is closer to her body.

The second thing I don’t like about this harness, besides the fact that the neck can’t be adjusted without Velcro being shown, is that the material is really thick. The thickness of the material actually works really great on the medium sized harness bc the medium fits better. However on the large harness, the thickness actually inhibited her movements and kind of swallowed her a little bit because it was too large (too large when the straps weren’t super tightened like in the last two pictures). But I’m not taking off anything or knocking the product because of this. I just thought it was something worth mentioning.

In addition to this, I’ve noticed that the thickness and the lack of stretchiness of the material inhibits her from sitting down normally. I’m not sure if this is just a ‘my cat’ problem as it looks like other cats are able to sit down rather normally, but it’s still worth noting. I’m hoping as she gets used to it more, she’ll go back to moving/walking/sitting regularly while still in the harness.

Not escape proof

Loved the print and it’s made well but is NOT escape proof. My cat lasted 5 minutes in it before she had it over her head ( view pic ). She was also super wobbly in it but overall it’s good quality. She just needs some practice 😂

Ripped

I really like them both but it ripped. 12lb senior cat did not fo it. Used 7 times total on patio.

Cute but not secure enough

Love the harness but the cat did not. The sad thing was it only took her 1 minute to get out of it. My cat rolled around and it slid right off.

Reina looks amazing in her harness.

My cat is 9 1/2 pounds and the small harness fit her the best. Had to return the medium. She was able to get out of the harness once when she wrapped herself around a plant and backed out if it. I have purchased around six different harnesses and she can get out of all of them 🤦🏻♀️.

Super cute and fits well

Colors are super cute. This fits like a jacket and is super quick to put on. Just got it yesterday and kitty has benn out exploring in it twice already. Will buy again.

Purrrrrfect for medium to short-haired cats

I have two cats. The one in the picture with the two vests, Caoimhe, weighs about 13 lbs. The little cat, Mealla, weighs about 5 lbs. I had searched and searched for a harness for Caoimhe and was so pleased with it that I got another for Mealla.
It took C. a while to get used to it and there was some wrestling in the process, to be expected. I love the wide, super strong Velcro bands that I can adjust around their chests and necks as tightly as needed. Neither cat has been able to wiggle their way out of the vests faster than I can get to them first. But these instances were during the initial wearings.
Mealla, the little one, has medium/long hair and I winced as I realized that some of her fur was getting trapped between the Velcro strips. She's new to this, so I'm hoping that as she gets more relaxed with the process, I'll be able to fit the Velcro more carefully.
The issue with the long hair is why this harness gets 4 stars instead of 5. Otherwise, I am SO happy that I can treat my fur babies to fresh air, sunshine, and exploring the outdoors.
A tip: when you first start using the vest and leash, stay close to your car so that the leash is lax. You will be better able to see how well it fits and make adjustments as needed. A tight leash, especially if your car is straining against it, can potentially make escaping easier for your cat.
Finally, if your cat is not microchipped, get that done first before going outside with it. A collar with a tag and bell are also recommended, but not so much for super little ones who need to hide and run without attracting attention to themselves and would most certainly not survive a fight for their lives with another animal.

My cat loves her harness.

This harness fits my cat perfectly and doesn’t rub her or affect her walking.

Gracie loves her harness!

Easy to put on, good fit, sturdy. Our cat did manage to escape from the harness once, but that was due more to human error. Instructions said to gradually work up to putting harness on and walking the cat, but our cat was ready to go right away. The only negative is now our cat insists on several walks a day.

Finally found one that fits

Finally, one that fits my cat!!! She loves it, I measured her neck and right behind her arms, and I bought her an extra large. She is so happy.

Really good!

I put it on her inside first to get her used to it then i took her outside. She weighs about 10 lbs and i got a large for her, It seems to fit her nicely and she hasn't tried to escape it yet. (unlike the one we used to have) I only took her out once with it but it went pretty smoothly. The velcro made it super easy to put on and take off and i love the pink it looks super cute on her. This is a pretty good purchase i would recommend this!

Perfect for Chihuahuas too!

Perfect for Chihuahuas! Medium was just right for my 7pound. She thinks she's a cat anyway. Pretty colors, sturdy material, very strong velcro. I leave the neck part connected and just slide over her head for an easier time.

Harness and Leash Work Well

Wanted to see if I could teach my cat to walk on leash. Still up in the air. She's generally walking with it but still unsure about being outside with noise and other animals.

Harness and leash both excellent quality. The velcro harness bits hold well, even when she's trying to noodle out of it. Good value for money and love the pattern selections

True to size

I bought the size medium for my 11 pound Princess.
Very easy to put on and she is getting more use to it by the day (use to walk her with collar and lease).
Seems like it is very secure but that hasn't really been put to the test yet and hope it doesn't.
I do wish the lease was a bit longer, but that is an easy fix.

Almost..

it's cute but my cat doesn't like it. The neck is to tight.

Good product & met my needs.

Easy to escape from unless you fasten it very tight. I don't have to use it very often, just on long trips when we take the dog too. Worked just fine for that to keep her from going all over the vehicle. She isn't one to run away from me outside. Washed nicely.

Cute

I wish it came just a bit bigger. Our old gal is a bit hefty, so this is a little hard to get belted under her belly. Maybe if the velcro met on top?

Otherwise, she is getting used to it and seems to be able to move around well in it.

Mostly great!

This harness is very nice looking, easy to put on, and comfortable for my dog. However, it is not wearing well, The binding material is very frayed and won't last much longer.

Easy to Get On

Bought this for my cat, who is a bit big. It is easily adjustable, so I can make it fit snuggly. So easy to get on her too. She didn't like it at first, but tolerates it to go outside for a walk. Good luck!

Xl would fit a bigger cat. But will work for medium cats!!

Xl works for 9 lb cats. Not sure the exact weight of my cat. I measured her at 14” chest. Some of it’s her fur. It’s adjustable Velcro. Cats can still slip out if startled but it’s bc i had it on loose. The Velcro didn’t move

Deserves 5 stars, but cat threatened my life so we settled on 4 stars!

Very well made. I am very satisfied with my purchase. My cat on the other hand HATES IT. I put it on her and she immediately looks at me with a death stare as if to say “I hate you and I hate my life”. I’m sure she’s thinking, “seriously mom, I’m not a dog”. But other than her hating it, I love the quality. The pink dot pattern is adorable. I would have given 5 stars but -my cat wouldn’t let me!!

My cats hate to be on a leash or in any kind of harness but this is a good one.

Harness doesn't come off no matter how the cat squirms...can't use to take a cat to the vet because they can't do a physical with the vest on. Covers too many parts of your cat. If your cat likes to walk this would work.

Is this cat harness escape‑proof?

Our harness provides reliable anti‑escape performance when you pick the correct size based on chest & neck measurements and fasten all Velcro straps securely. No harness is 100% escape‑proof for highly determined cats.

How tight should the cat harness be?

You should fit one flat finger between harness and your cat’s skin. Snug enough to prevent slipping out, loose enough for free movement and breathing.

Why does my cat freeze or flop when wearing harness?

This “freeze & flop” reaction is very common for first‑time harness wearers, it is not pain. Do short daily indoor practice sessions with treats, most cats adapt quickly.

How do I train my cat to walk with harness & leash?

Let your cat get used to wearing harness indoors first without leash. Introduce leash gradually, reward with treats. Take small steps and be patient. Read more tips →

Can I use a dog harness on my cat?

We strongly advise against it. Dog harness are shaped for dog body structure and may create safety risk for cats. Please use dedicated cat harness.
