True to size

I bought the size medium for my 11 pound Princess.
Very easy to put on and she is getting more use to it by the day (use to walk her with collar and lease).
Seems like it is very secure but that hasn't really been put to the test yet and hope it doesn't.
I do wish the lease was a bit longer, but that is an easy fix.

Almost..

it's cute but my cat doesn't like it. The neck is to tight.

Quality Harness: Can’t Wait to Use it Outside

I had to order this product twice. I ordered a medium about a month ago, but that got lost in the mail and never came. I had to order a large in the meantime because I'm on a timed schedule of trying to get her harness trained. I left a review about that and said I would update it later if I was ever able to purchase another medium.

When the medium was finally put back in stock, I ordered one and it came pretty quickly. I’ve spent the past two days making her wear the large and the medium trying to see which one fits better. The first three pictures are of her wearing the medium, and the last two are her wearing a large. In all five of the pictures, the harness is adjusted to where it fits the best on her. (I’m not sure why she continues to stand like her spine is broken, but I’m hoping the snugness of the medium helps her adjust more and she changes this.)

My cat is 5 years old and pretty petite for her age. She weighs about 8.3 pounds with a chest girth of 13 and a neck girth of 7-8. It sucks that she is literally in between sizes because the medium fits when the Velcro is loosened and the large fits when the Velcro is really tight. If I adjust the Velcro flaps on the medium (where the Velcro is not showing) it starts to choke her neck a little bit so that’s the one major thing I reallllyyy dislike. But the flaps around her chest fit perfectly. I did not like the look of the extra 3 inches of the Velcro flap hanging off of her chest on the large, so I decided on the medium and figured having to see black Velcro without the flaps hanging is better. (The reviews saying that cats who were 8 pounds fit well in a medium also helped to sway my decision.)

She also seemed to move a little bit better in the medium and her movements seemed less restricted. I’m chalking this up to the fact that the medium fits more snug and is closer to her body.

The second thing I don’t like about this harness, besides the fact that the neck can’t be adjusted without Velcro being shown, is that the material is really thick. The thickness of the material actually works really great on the medium sized harness bc the medium fits better. However on the large harness, the thickness actually inhibited her movements and kind of swallowed her a little bit because it was too large (too large when the straps weren’t super tightened like in the last two pictures). But I’m not taking off anything or knocking the product because of this. I just thought it was something worth mentioning.

In addition to this, I’ve noticed that the thickness and the lack of stretchiness of the material inhibits her from sitting down normally. I’m not sure if this is just a ‘my cat’ problem as it looks like other cats are able to sit down rather normally, but it’s still worth noting. I’m hoping as she gets used to it more, she’ll go back to moving/walking/sitting regularly while still in the harness.

Not escape proof

Loved the print and it’s made well but is NOT escape proof. My cat lasted 5 minutes in it before she had it over her head ( view pic ). She was also super wobbly in it but overall it’s good quality. She just needs some practice 😂

Good product & met my needs.

Easy to escape from unless you fasten it very tight. I don't have to use it very often, just on long trips when we take the dog too. Worked just fine for that to keep her from going all over the vehicle. She isn't one to run away from me outside. Washed nicely.

Cute

I wish it came just a bit bigger. Our old gal is a bit hefty, so this is a little hard to get belted under her belly. Maybe if the velcro met on top?

Otherwise, she is getting used to it and seems to be able to move around well in it.

Ripped

I really like them both but it ripped. 12lb senior cat did not fo it. Used 7 times total on patio.

Is this cat harness escape‑proof?

Our harness provides reliable anti‑escape performance when you pick the correct size based on chest & neck measurements and fasten all Velcro straps securely. No harness is 100% escape‑proof for highly determined cats.

How tight should the cat harness be?

You should fit one flat finger between harness and your cat’s skin. Snug enough to prevent slipping out, loose enough for free movement and breathing.

Why does my cat freeze or flop when wearing harness?

This “freeze & flop” reaction is very common for first‑time harness wearers, it is not pain. Do short daily indoor practice sessions with treats, most cats adapt quickly.

How do I train my cat to walk with harness & leash?

Let your cat get used to wearing harness indoors first without leash. Introduce leash gradually, reward with treats. Take small steps and be patient. Read more tips →

Can I use a dog harness on my cat?

We strongly advise against it. Dog harness are shaped for dog body structure and may create safety risk for cats. Please use dedicated cat harness.
